In February, we continued supporting the ongoing searches for 2 missing persons reflecting the dedication of our handlers, technicians, and dogs.
We delivered our first official training of the year at Broom Fisheries, introducing our updated CT (Continuous Training) regime. The new protocols proved highly effective, and we were very pleased with the early outcomes.
We also welcomed new members joining as dog handlers and search technicians, and launched a new initiative with Rod Stoddart to develop Therapy Dog support for community wellbeing—early feedback has been very positive and we are now building formal protocols. In addition, we welcomed air scent live victim handlers developing their own SOPs, and a joint session with UKLSI saw five members qualify as Search Technicians.
